Nestlé Kenya has partnered with the Kenya Red Cross Society in the donation of breakfast cereals in support of vulnerable families in Nairobi informal settlement areas as the #COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect people’s livelihoods. The initial donation of 375 cartons of Cerevita cereals will be distributed to over 1000 households with young children.

Speaking during the handover ceremony at the Kenya Red Cross Society Headquarters, Nestlé East Africa Cluster Managing Director, Mr. Njeru Ng’entu said, “Nestlé is honored to partner with Kenya Red Cross in assisting communities during these difficult times. We thank the Kenya Red Cross Society for their efforts and continuous dedication in supporting the vulnerable in society.”

Cerevita which is best consumed warm is especially good for children aged 2 to 12 years. The breakfast cereals are highly enriched with proteins, fiber, and fortified with minerals and vitamins for a complete, nourishing breakfast and with sustained energy.

Nairobi is estimated to have close to one million vulnerable households mostly living in informal settlement areas.
