Nestlé Kenya has relaunched its popular breakfast cereal brand, Nestlé CEREVITA into the Kenyan market. Nestlé CEREVITA, which was previously available in Kenya as a corn-based cereal, is now available in two-wheat based variants: Honey and Marie Biscuit.
“The introduction of the new Nestlé CEREVITA is a response to our consumer tastes and preferences. We now have a wheat-based cereal available in two variants that are all tailored to local tastes,” said Mr. Ng’entu Njeru, the Managing Director at Nestlé East Africa Cluster.
The new product, officially re-introduced in April 2020, is now available in all shops and supermarkets countrywide, retailing at a recommended retail price of KES 30 for a 30g single-serve and KES 395 for the 420g pack.
According to Mr. Ng’entu, the company is excited that the relaunch of Nestlé CEREVITA wheat breakfast Cereal range addresses the need for tasty and fun options, providing parents with a high quality, nutritious choice that the family will love to eat.
“Nestlé CEREVITA has a signature taste and aroma that comes from gently grilling nutritious wholegrain cereals into a big biscuit before crumbling it into a delicious flake, fortified with Grain SmartTM – a smart combination of micronutrients,” he added.
Grainsmart is a smart combination of iron and Vitamins B1, B5, and C added to cereals that contribute to normal release of energy in the body. Whole grains, which are grains that contain the bran, endosperm, and the germ, are a key component of any diet. Nestlé CEREVITA is prepared using whole grains making it rich in Fiber/Antioxidants, Vitamins, Minerals, Carbohydrates, Magnesium and Essential fats. This makes the product ideal for the whole family.
