Motor vehicle distributor, CFAO Motors Kenya has officially started the construction of its premises in Kisumu County that will host the CFAO Motors Kenya Kisumu branch.

The ground-breaking of the new branch construction is a show of commitment to the Lake region economic hub by the vehicle distributor that was recently rebranded from Toyota Kenya but has been renting its current space in Kisumu city.

Speaking at the ceremony, Managing Director, Arvinder Reel said, “Our investment of Ksh500 million towards the new showroom enables us to consolidate our operations and offer our Lake region customers a great experience where they can access the sale of vehicles, spare parts, and service all under one roof. Currently, our showroom and service workshops are in two different locations within the city.”

The 3,600 square meter facility located at Nyamasaria and which will take 12 months to complete, will add 40% more space from CFAO Motors Kenya’s current operations in Kisumu will include 12 service bays, more parking space for customers, and increased space to display the auto distributor’s expanded portfolio that now houses Toyota, Hino, Suzuki, Yamaha, Automark, AutoFast, and win parts.

“The introduction of additional brands such as Automark in the Lake region allows us to now offer trade-in for our customers, who can bring in their used vehicle for a new vehicle,” added Mr. Reel.

As Kisumu City prepares to host the 9th Africities Summit with an agenda on the need to develop resilient and sustainable urbanization in Africa, the new CFAO Motors Kenya showroom will utilize green energy by installing a solar plant expected to generate 45,000kWh per annum.

With two authorized service centers operating in the Western block, Mr. Reel added that the Kisumu facility will enhance CFAO Motors Kenya’s support in the region including the onboarding of additional partners.

Toyota Kenya operates a three-channel network in its operations, including branches, dealers, and Toyota Kenya Authorised Service Centres. The branches and the dealers are able to offer vehicle sales, services, and spare parts. The authorized service centers on the other hand offer services and spare parts.
