Going by the exhibitions made at the CES 2022 early in January, this year we have the biggest TV and the brightest ones – thanks to the basic display technology of OLED. It is probably safe to say that 2022 is probably Television’s biggest year.

As most of you may know, modern TVs use either Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) or OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) basic display technologies. While most use LCD, big names in TV manufacturing LG and Sony have recently introduced OLED TVs that offer the best contrast, color display, and gaming compatibility than ever before.

That said, this year, LG Electronics announced the release of the LG G2 OLED TV which is an upgrade of the G1 whose key feature was the Gallery Design aimed at putting the spotlight on users’ content and complementing the interior of a customer’s home.

As rightly put on LG.COM, LG Electronics was so confident in the GI model that they provided a 5-year limited warranty on the LG OLED Evo G1 panel.

Fast forward, what’s new on the G2, and for anyone in need of a new TV why should they consider the G2?

  1. Bigger and Better

This year, LG has unveiled a new size option for its TV product through the G2 which is now available in a 97-inch size, an upgrade from the G1 which was available in a 65-inch size.

With this size, viewers can see clear images. In terms of creativity, it is slimmer in design, pinning perfectly on the wall while maintaining the gallery look and feel, making your room look like a museum of modern art and perfectly fitting a lifestyle that you deserve.

  1. Better Sound Quality

Compared to the G1, there is a huge improvement of sound quality innovation with the new virtual 7.1.2 surround sound-producing speakers.

There is also the return of LGs AI Sound Pro which identifies voices, effects, and frequencies so it can then optimize the sound by genre for a more immersive experience.

  1. Stunning Picture Quality

LG means business when it comes to picture quality. The G2 like in G1 has opted for the OLED Evo panel which allows for brighter contrast. From a health perspective, it uses self-lit pixels which are more comfortable for the eyes when one watches for long periods hence protecting your visual.

LG OLED panels have also been recognized as eco-friendly with a reduced risk of hazardous emissions. With the incorporation of the Alpha 9 Gen 5 processor, one should expect further improvements to final image quality.

  1. Ideal for a smart home

Imagine being able to control your TV with your voice. That’s how the LG ThinQ app will maximize your TV experience and offer you convenience. Leveraging the app, you can choose your favorite assistant and control your TV with your voice with an all-new home screen to provide more convenience and control.

Besides, the webOS smart TV interface is also returning for the LG G2. This innovative operating system is responsive and brilliantly easy to use, not to mention it’s packed with some of the best streaming apps out of the box including Netflix, HBO Max, and Disney Plus exhibiting a promising future for metaverse in LG products.

  1. Best Choice for gamers

Finally, if you are a gamer then the LG2 is your best bet for a unique gaming experience. It comes with an HDMI 2.1 port which allows for a 120Hz refresh rate at 4K, microscopic input lag, and support for VRR (variable refresh rate) that keeps the on-screen action smooth and responsive.

Through this port, gamers get a chance to make the most of their PS5 and Xbox Series X’s power. The TV also supports cloud gaming services like GeForce Now and Google Stadia.
