The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced the promotion interview dates for senior teachers, senior masters, and deputy headteachers and principals.
TSC closed the application exercise for 5,690 teacher promotion vacancies on 18th November at midnight. The promotion interviews for school administrators will start on Monday 25th after the shortlisting of eligible applicants.
According to TSC, the interviews will run from Monday 25th to Friday 29th November 2024. The administrators will battle it out for 5,690 slots advertised by TSC.

Earlier, TSC advertised vacancies for principal, deputy principal, headteacher, and deputy headteacher positions. Teachers were asked to make applications by 18th November.
In December this year, TSC is set to advertise other promotion slots for non-administrators popularly known as ‘classroom teachers’. The Commission CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia had hinted at sweeping promotions for teachers at the end of this year.
According to Nancy Macharia, the Commission has been allocated sh. 1 billion for the promotion of teachers in this financial year. TSC CEO was speaking during the supervision of the KCSE 2024 exams
Secondary school teachers and Teacher Training College (TTC) tutors had their interviews running from 3rd to 16th January 2024.
This year, the application for promotion will be done online after which a list of shortlisted candidates will be released. TSC will issue Interview dates for candidates who will also be required to appear with the following documents during the exercise.
