Raila Odinga is set to lead Jubilee’s economic recovery agenda in a looming cabinet reshuffle that is aimed at rooting out Cabinet Secretaries associated with Deputy President William Ruto.
According to an article published on the Star Newspaper, President Uhuru Kenyatta is creating a new cabinet that will see Raila Odinga heading several ministries including the Treasury, Agriculture and Energy.
Sources say Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka are also likely to get CS positions in the new cabinet in a move that is likely to completely eliminate William Ruto from the government.
During the month, the Jubilee party made leadership changes in the Senate by ejecting the outspoken Leader of Majority Kipchumba Murkomen and replacing him with Samwel Poghisio. William Ruto has remained silent ever since the purge started.
According to political prophets, Jubilee is eating its own and the relationship is now messy, noisy and has visible casualties.
