Azimio la Umoja has planned to have the second round of demonstrations this Monday, in what Raila Odinga has termed a move to push the government of Kenya Kwanza to lower the cost of living as well as step down from office.

According to the Azimio brigade, demonstrations will be held twice every week; Monday and Thursday, a move that is likely to cripple the economy. The government estimates that Nairobi alone lost 2 billion shillings during last week’s demos.

Currently. President William Ruto is out of the country for a four-day visit to Germany to “strengthen bilateral relationships”. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who has openly demonstrated his hate for Raila Odinga and the protests is in charge of the country now.

Businesses within Nairobi’s CBD have remained closed, not sure of what will happen during the day.
