Global smartphone maker OPPO launched another brand new Reno series on the Kenyan market. The giant launched OPPO Reno5 and OPPO Reno5 F, both of which have already started generating conversations among tech lovers.
As the Reno5 phone continues to take shape on the market, it is important to note that Reno5 features a couple of new upgrades over OPPO Reno 4 that was launched late in 2020. Both Reno4 and Reno5 remain great with amazing features but Reno5 carries the day
To begin with, Reno4 weighs 165 grams with a thickness of 7.7 millimeters while Reno5 weighs 171 grams. In terms of weight, both gadgets remain great. That is; light and small enough to fit in your pocket and large enough to fit in your palm.
The scream display for Reno4 is OLED while that of Reno5 is 6.4″ AMOLED with a 90Hz refresh rate. The storage for both phones is the same. Reno4 runs on a 8GB RAM with an internal storage of 128GB same as OPPO Reno5. So, if you are looking for storage, either of the phones is excellent.
The greatness of a phone lies in its battery. How fast it charges and how long it stays upon being fully charged. Both phones have great massive batteries. Reno4 has a 4015mAh battery with a fast-charging capacity of 30W, up to 50 percent in 20 minutes. Reno5 on the other hand has a more powerful battery, a 4310 mAh massive battery with a fast-charging feature of 50W charging using a USB Type-C.
OPPO is known for powerful cameras in all its smartphones. The power of its cameras have been retained in both Reno4 and Reno5. Reno5, however, has a more powerful camera. Let us start with Reno4. It has a 48 MP, f/1.7, 26mm (wide), 1/2.0″, 0.8µm, PDAF, 8 MP, f/2.2, 119˚ (ultrawide), 1/4.0″, 1.12µm, 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro), and 2 MP, f/2.4, (depth). Reno5, on the other hand, has a 64 MP for the main camera, 8 MP ultra-wide, 2 MP macro, and 2MP depth.
Both phones have good selfie cameras. Reno4 has 32MP for the selfie camera while Reno5 has 44MP for its selfie. In terms of choosing which phone to go for selfies, I recommend either of them but if you can get hold of Reno5, please do.
Both phones run on Android. Reno5 runs on Android 11, ColorOS 11.1 while Reno4 runs on Android 10 ColorOS 7.2. There are so many differences between Reno4 and Reno5 but the paradox is, non is inferior to the other.
