Global Entertainment Phenomenon Old School R&B Brunch Arrives In Kenya For A Four-Day Musical Celebration

Old School R&B Brunch (OSR), one of the fastest-growing entertainment sensations in the world, is set to bring its much-loved brand of music, culture, and community to Kenya this week.

The global movement will host a four-day programme of events in Nairobi and Mombasa, promising an unforgettable experience for lovers of old-school rhythm and blues.

The festivities kick off in Nairobi at the lively Mass House before heading to the coast for a grand finale at the luxurious Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort in Mombasa. Each event will embody the signature OSR vibe – a unique blend of nostalgic tracks, soulful energy, and a welcoming atmosphere designed to connect people through music.

“From the very beginning, Old School R&B Brunch was about more than just music – it was about creating a space where people could connect, be themselves, and celebrate a culture that shaped us,” said Reiss, Co-Founder of OSR. “Bringing that energy to Kenya feels like coming home, and we cannot wait to share the experience with Nairobi and Mombasa.”

Founded in London six years ago by childhood friends Reiss, Olu, and Paul, OSR was born from their Nigerian heritage and love for authentic, soulful gatherings. What started as a small event for 250 guests in 2019 has grown into a global cultural movement, hosting shows in more than 45 cities across 15 countries. London events alone now attract over 800 attendees, with past stops including Lagos, New York, and Dubai.

Even during the pandemic, OSR kept the music alive, streaming weekly DJ sessions on Instagram to a worldwide audience. Beyond events, the brand has evolved to include professional recording studios and its restaurant and bar, cementing its position as a major player in the entertainment industry.

With Kenya now joining its global tour, OSR promises East African audiences four days of rhythm, connection, and pure old-school R&B magic.
