Tanqueray Partners With Bare Sessions to Celebrate Eric Wainaina

Tanqueray partnered with Bare Sessions for a live performance headlined by Kenyan music legend Eric Wainaina at the National Museums of Kenya.

Bare Sessions by JGIP events is a unique platform where artists strip their songs ‘bare’ and reimagine their sound in collaboration with musical arrangers, resulting in raw and authentic interpretations. The performances place creativity and exceptional craftsmanship at the heart of the experience, which aligns with what Tanqueray represents.

“The Bare Sessions platform empowers cultural tastemakers such as Eric Wainaina to prioritize authenticity and push the boundaries on their craft, resulting in masterpieces that resonate with the craftsmanship found in Tanqueray. This partnership has cultivated a space where our brand is truly brought to life by connecting Tanqueray’s commitment to delivering exceptional taste with the creative passion of musical artists.”, remarked Jean Okech Nyawara, Head of Marketing, EABL Spirits Portfolio.

Guests were invited to a cocktail journey with cocktails crafted as liquid interpretations to Eric Wainaina’s repertoire.  A vibrant mix of Tanqueray No. Ten and Earl Grey Tea captured the upbeat energy of Dek Dek. Sawa Sawa, expressed through a floral sweet cocktail infused with chamomile, brought out the soul of Tanqueray No. Ten. While Selina’s romantic lyrics were Tanqueray Royale’s light floral notes, reflecting the song’s emotional depth. Finally, Joka’s edgy vibe was captured in a bold creation featuring Rangpur Lime’s zesty kick.

Tanqueray remains the preeminent gin revered by gin connoisseurs around the world. Partnerships with platforms such as Bare Sessions are a testament to Tanqueray’s commitment to showing up in spaces where culture is created and artistry is honoured. It continues to set the standard, solidifying its position as the gin at the heart of elevated experiences.
