The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA), the regulatory agency for the ICT industry in Kenya, has released a list of its regional offices in an effort to enlighten Kenyans as to where they should get the authority’s services without having to travel to Nairobi.

According to the Authority, the setting up of regional offices was necessitated by the need to take their services closer to the people and in line with the devolution which meant that counties had to have a feel and access to all government services.

“To enable us to devolve our services and take them closer to the people, the first office was set up in Eldoret in August 2014, followed by Mombasa, Nyeri, and Kisumu,” said CA in a statement.

For those from the Coast Region, the offices are based on the 3rd Floor, NSSF Building in Mombasa serving the six (6) Counties Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale, Tana River, Taita Taveta, and Lamu.

For the Central and Eastern Region, the offices are based on the Ground Floor, of Advocates Plaza in Nyeri serving 13 Counties and one (1) Sub County of Nyeri, Murang’a, Nyandarua, Kirinyaga, Embu, Tharaka Nithi, Meru, Laikipia, Isiolo, Marsabit, Garissa, Wajir, and Mandera, and the Sub County of Mwingi, Kitui County

Those seeking CA services in Nyanza can access them through the office on the 2nd Floor, Lake Basin Mall, Kisumu serving eight (8) Counties and one (1) Sub County of Kisumu, Siaya, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Kericho, Bomet and the sub-County of Transmara, Narok County.

If you are in the Western Region, you will get CA services on the 1st Floor, KVDA Plaza Eldoret serving 11 Counties in the larger Western Kenya and North Rift of Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Baringo, Samburu, Nandi, Trans Nzoia, West Pokot, Turkana, Vihiga, Kakamega and Busia Counties.

“These offices are the first port of call for various stakeholders in the regions, providing convenient means of accessing the Authority’s services. Additionally, the offices help the Authority to engage with various stakeholders, particularly the consumers of ICT services, County Governments, and licensees, that play a key role in supporting the Authority’s mandate,” added CA.
