Kenya has banned the importation of cooking gas cylinders and wheat from Tanzania beginning the month of July.
The ban will affect the movement of two products Kenya-Tanzania land boarders a move that has left Dar protesting.
Tanzanian authorities has said that Kenya has gone against the East African Community (EAC) protocol by banning the products from Tanzania without consultations.
Adolf Mkenda, the Tanzanian Permanent Secretary in charge Trade and Investment protested the move saying that Tanzania only became aware of the ban through Kenyan media.
It is not yet clear whether the move will affect the relationship between the two countries.
